Coco Bennett

"Our fluffy joy, hopping into eternity"
Coco was a lop-eared rabbit who brought endless delight to the Bennett family in Austin, Texas, for nearly 9 years. With her soft brown fur and floppy ears, she was a bundle of mischief from the day we brought her home, nibbling on everything from shoelaces to homework. Coco had a sassy personality, thumping her foot when annoyed but melting into cuddles when bribed with a carrot stick, her little nose twitching with excitement.
Losing Coco to a respiratory infection broke our hearts. The hutch in the backyard sits quiet now, no more tiny hops or curious sniffs to greet us each morning. My youngest still leaves out bits of lettuce, hoping she’ll magically reappear. We buried her near the vegetable patch she loved to raid, with a small stone painted with carrots to mark her spot, a reminder of the joy she hopped into our lives.
