Pippin
2018-03-05 — 2026-02-09
"Our tiny, fearless explorer."
Pippin was the smallest hamster with the biggest personality we’ve ever known. We got him on a whim from a local pet store, not expecting how much joy a little critter could bring into our lives. From the moment we set up his cage, he was zooming through tunnels, stuffing his cheeks with seeds, and making us laugh with his endless curiosity.
He had this hilarious habit of rearranging his bedding every night, like he was designing his own little mansion. His favorite thing was his tiny wheel -- he’d run for hours, looking so determined, like he was training for a hamster marathon. We’d sit and watch him for way too long, just marveling at how much energy he packed into such a small body.
Pippin brought a special kind of lightness to our days, especially when things got heavy. Even something as simple as handing him a sunflower seed and watching him hoard it felt like a little moment of peace. Losing him hurts more than we expected, but we’re so thankful for the smiles he gave us.
Rest easy, little Pip. We hope wherever you are, there’s an endless supply of wheels and treats to keep you busy.
